So we both walked over to this other white car that had two small poodles in it on leashes tied to the console and the white one had jumped in the back seat and was strangling itself. The windows were cracked about half an inch.

Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyotes saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.

A spate of coyote attacks, some fatal, on small dogs in Estero earlier this summer put area pet owners on alert in several neighborhoods. One woman was scratched by a coyote when she attempted fending it off from her pet dog.
