Neither the person nor the dog were causing any problems. The dog didnt even go to the bathroom. The park ranger approached and informed the owner of the dog that no dogs were allowed, even on a leash, and the dog would have to be put in the car. I understand that some folks are irresponsible in not cleaning up after their dogs, but to take it out on the poor animal seems extremely unfair.

Thats the beauty of a small town; we live just outside Denver and its a rare occasion that someone takes the time or effort to help a neighbor, let alone a stranger. Most would think a dog is not a very big thing to get excited about, but I lost another part of myself when Missy disappeared and my gratefulness to Rick Reiners for re-filling that void is beyond words.
