I was following Matthew Arnold through his daily routine, doing a story on how he lives a very full life despite the fact that he was paralyzed by a childhood illness and can move little besides his face and three fingers on his right hand. I followed him to his house to photograph him eating his lunch with the help of paid assistant Christopher Lohr. Out came Arnolds dog, Cookie, who is the tiniest Shih Tzu Ive ever seen and probably the cutest. Someone gave her a biscuit, and she was so adorable as she settled onto the floor to eat it I couldnt resist breaking away from Arnold to photograph her, even though I knew wed never use it in the story.
