In cooperation with the Moore County Kennel Club, more puppies were transported to the North Shore Animal League in Long Island, N. Y. , according to co-chairwoman Lisa Bridge. The total now stands at 119 puppies shipped "up north" for adoption into puppy-less families. Co-chairwoman Pam Partis asked for volunteers to help with three spay/neuter clinics, tentatively scheduled , and Dec. 2. Partis also announced that the committee has again accepted an offer from Homewood Suites to provide the setting for the Top Hats and Tails event in December. The theme will again be black and white, with those colors emphasized in adoption of homeless pets. Oct. 1 is the deadline to turn in big ticket items for the Top Hats raffle. www.thepilot.com
