After a Saturday article in The Sentinel, donations and phone calls came in, asking about Chance and his possible adoption, said Lanie Mossey, Wishbone Pet Rescue president and owner of Wild Dog Bowtique.

The dog, a black Labrador mix pet rescuers named Chance, suffered injuries to his head and throat and could have hearing loss.

Chance was taken by Allegan County Animal Control last week then placed at Wishbone Pet Rescue, 3383 Blue Star Highway in Saugatuck Township.
