A maintenance man in a nearby apartment complex pulled the dog from the boy and was able to subdue it until animal control officers arrived. The boys sustained non life-threatening injuries and were treated by emergency service personnel. FENTON -- Two 12-year-old boys walking to a school bus stop were attacked by a mixed-breed dog on Wednesday morning, said Capt. Ralph Brown of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office. The dog attacked the first boy in the 700 block of Shangri la Estates Drive, but a nearby parent beat it off with a rock. The dog, which looked like a pit bull, then attacked the other boy, who was walking nearby. A maintenance worker fended off the dog and held it until authorities arrived, Brown said.
