Lily, however, is not like other dogs. Im pretty sure shes got chronic depression. She doesnt like being outside or going on walks. She doesnt like treats. She doesnt know how to play. She doesnt lick or wag her tail or show affection in general. She acts like a dog only when eating, going to the bathroom or finding a soft place to sleep. Shes incredibly skittish and aloof and very aggressive towards her own kind. I cant take her anywhere. Sometimes shes so stubborn shell lie down with her legs splayed out in the middle of the sidewalk. Often she glances sideways at me, suspicious, snooty and hateful.
