I visited the dump yesterday, and was so impressed by all the recycling of cardboard, paper, glass and plastic. I have an idea for something I saw in another city. They have a place called Give and Take where people can leave usable items. They have a little shed with some shelves for things that need to be out of the rain. People leave bicycles, lawn furniture and bigger things, and anybody whos there can take what they want or leave what they want. Its a quicker recycling. Its always better to use something as is than to grind it up and make it again. It wouldnt really impact the Mission or the Goodwill, because they could come and pick up the things that they wanted and take them off for resale.
