My name is Vanessa Garza. I am one of the owners of the chihuaha that was killed by the 3 pitbulls. I witnessed the 3 pitbulls mangle and rip my dog to shreds. The condition that my dog was left in was too gruesome to show pictures of. How can you say I am not a dog-lover I loved her so much. and to see her suffer and die the way she did is painful. I know that it is not all of the dogs fault,but if you had dogs that are that dangerous why would you keep them in city limits surrounded by their next victims. This time it was my dog,but it could have just as easily been a child. one of your children. This is why we started this petition,to keep dangerous dogs away from harming or even killing our children. Our neighborhood is so terrified of these dogs and now after they put two to sleep he bought two more so now they still have 4. www.team4news.com

These dogs are dangerous. Less than a week ago there was a report in another state of a family Rottweiler, which had been in the family for years, attacked a four yr. old child and in this attack amoungst other things, this child had its ears riped off by this loving family pet. The dog is being held by animal control for 10 days and then put to sleep. Any dog that attacks a human, without being provoked should be put to sleep. Once they have attacked, they will do it again. Many insurance companies will not issue home insurance if you own one of these dogs (along with two or three others). This is not a simple issue that will go away, it ir a real issue. I know having 2 Chihuahuas isnt exactly the coolest and most manly image for me to project. But one thing I do know is that I love these two little dogs as much as I loved any big dog in my past. Sure maybe my family dog Zippy, a yellow lab can leap into the passenger side of my Jeep and ride with his head out the window whereas Wyatt and Butt-Man have to be lifted into the car and perch on my shoulders to see out the windows. And sure its a little different than Zippy jumping into my bed and trampling me when Butt-Man has to use an old microwave cardboard box to vault his way into the covers, but the differences are really very few and far between in terms of the companionship these dogs provide.
