There are many problems that a remote community will face when the population of dogs reaches unmanageable numbers. There can be an increase in the transmission of some zoonotic diseases (passed from animals to humans). Dogs are less likely to remain healthy due to insufficient resources for the number of dogs in the community. A large population of dogs creates an environment that is more challenging for them; they need to be more aggressive over territory and food and mating. Speak your mind I had no room to speak about the lack of mental health facilities. there are very good people who work in the system. there are as everywhere, those uncaring, there for the paycheque. people who land in jail because of their mental problems are not always given help. some police persons recognise there is a mental problem, the person is taken to hospital and they are usually out the next day or a while later. the system is overloaded. i have been in a pysche ward 3 times, of my own volition. treated very well. sad to say, others not. mainly because there is ,hard to believe, stigma, even in the system. the one place that should be a haven is often a worse hell for some. verbal and physical abuse happens quite frequently. i have seen a lot in my lifetime, probably too much. most people have families. some do not. if your family can www.theglobeandmail.com

Ok larry, call these people overwhelmed. 46 dogs dont appear overnight; surely anyone with a microspeck of common sense would be overwhelmed with only a few puppies to care for. i have one puppy now and can assure you that she alone is exhausting. the appaulling condition of these dogs speaks for itself; i could care less about the owners motivations. take a look at the color of the water in the sink where one of the doggies is being washed and ask yourself what difference it makes why these dogs were so neglected. i saw enough at your website to see that you are not concerned about dogs being mistreated and abused; but about keeping animal control from simple look-sees; what are you afraid of let them look if you take such good care of your dogs. thank you animal control for saving these pups. www.sunjournal.com
