My initial reason for the baby gate was to eliminate the hair the dogs were shedding. I was just plain tired of having to vacuum constantly. I am guessing keeping the area clean is not something the Obamas will have to worry about. But there was a second benefit I didnt expect -- I am breathing and sleeping better. To my knowledge I am not allergic to animals (and if I am I dont want to know) but I cant deny there is a difference.
