Through its history, the event has brought usd. 600,000 in philanthropy to the Windber community, but organizers say they are taking a hard look at continuing the Dog Run next year.
Its been an especially hard year for the group. Two of the original Dogs, Joe King and Jeff Gentile, have passed away since the 2007 Dog Run. Dave King died in 1992.

You can run or walk one, two, or four laps around the Santa Fe Municipal Golf Course downtown with or without a dog. The best part is that the winners arent determined by speed, but rather on how close you are to predicting your finishing time (sorry, no watches allowed). Stephen Wood, chairman of Hyndburn Stray Dogs in Need and Hyndburn dog warden, said the shows annual organiser Georgina OConnor had been overworked and had been unable to put the show together.
