Well---I would never go into someones yard that I know has a huge dog. Even a pit bull. Any dog will carry on when you enter their property or knock on their door. I own a pit bull that is disabled. She even has one eye-- She is completely spoiled from birth because of being mauled at birth. At this time, she has her own blanket, bed, bathed weekly, enjoys riding in the car, and LOVES people that are familiar with her. The ONLY time she panics is when a stranger comes to the door, or around her back yard. If strangers or unfamiliar company come over, we always put her outside just as we would with any dog we would have. As far as Iam concerned-------this dog was scared. We had a good starting spot in fifth; we came in with decent track position under the green flag run there for the pit stops. We had a great pit stop and with the green flag running so long, we went a lap down and we fought really, really hard to get up there to get the Lucky Dog, but eventually we got it. We were running 11th and just outside the top-10 with 30 laps to go and I was going by a lapped car on the outside in one and I got real loose and I started to slide up the track and smacked the fence on the exit and knocked the toe out of it, real bad. The new apartment is lovely and fine but even though I made certain requests for my dog, Lucy, I was very upset to find that they hadnt been taken into account, she told the Post. Do I think its good for the sport Yeah, I think its good that Casey Mears won the race and J. J. Yeley ran second. It shows the sport is healthy. I think sometimes we get stagnant. Look, weve gone through this a million times. We went through the time when Tony won all the races. We went through the time when Dale Sr. won all the races. We went through the time when Jeff or Jimmie wins all the races. You need that variety and the sport needs that mixup. We need those guys to come in and win races and run good and show people were not just all lapped cars out there. We can come out here and win races and run good every now and then, so I think its good when you look up. I will take your advice and not go to that park. It is closer to where I live than any other park and I used to take my grandchildren there (ages 3 and 5). However, now that dogs will be running around loose, I wont take a chance on them being bitten, so we will find another park to visit. Just seems to me if owners want their dogs to run free, why not keep them at home and let them run free in their own yard. The Park District should have thought this out more clearly and not inconvenienced the many for the few. www.sj-r.com
