Speaking of the "Cannonball Run" movies (sorry I dont count "Speed Zone") do you think thats one that could get remade in todays Hollywood How did those 1st two movies do in the theatre It would seem.
Where Han hopes to live forever by bathing in the pool of immortality. Rick hires his old friend Mad Dog Maguire (Liam Cunningham of "First Knight") to fly them there ahead of the wicked villains..
Obviously, this is going to be largely a comparison between the two movies. Firstly, the second movie becomes much more of a comedy than the first..
2008-08-19 A Great Movie Made Even Greater by IMAX
Presentation is that since you are generally sitting closer to a larger screen that in a normal cinema, rapidly edited action scenes can be even harder to follow that they already are. I think if I were to see one of the Bourne movies in this format I might get motion sickness.
For best supporting actor, it will not be a sympathy vote. His "dog chasing a car" take on The Joker ranks right up there with Hannibal Lector and Darth Vader as the best villains in movie history.
This wasnt my first time viewing The Dark Knight, or even my second. I actually saw it twice on opening weekend, both times at the Cinerama in downtown Seattle, certainly no slouch when it comes to screen size and sound quality. Still, before the op

Speaking of the "Cannonball Run" movies (sorry I dont count "Speed Zone") do you think thats one that could get remade in todays Hollywood How did those 1st two movies do in the theatre It would seem that they wouldve spent a lot of money on all the name actors even if some of them werent in their prime at that point (I will now admit publicly that I indeed purchased a movie ticket by choice to "Cannonball Run Part 2" when it came out. Lol) If done right they couldve made a franchise out it using different actors each time. I guess they tried with "Speed Zone" ,but it just didnt feel connected to the 1st two.

Obviously, this is going to be largely a comparison between the two movies. Firstly, the second movie becomes much more of a comedy than the first. The inclusion of Frank the dog so much is an easy grab for that, along with many other parts of the movie. Theres still action, and its more over-the-top in this one, but the cheesier humour makes it feel a little cheaper.
All three of these actors are very small-time ones who have only been in a handful of movies so far. Mel Gibson and Robert De Niro have a lot of experience to balance things out. Campbell is an experienced director, too. This is an odd collection that will be very interesting to see in action when we see the finished product. Im sure this will turn out well, though. I think Gibson, despite his moments of insanity, has pretty good sense.

Alexandre Aja ( "The Hills Have Eyes, P2") tosses the odd cheap jolt (pigeons fluttering out of the silence, a dog leaping against a window) in an effort to spice up what turns too quickly into a mundane tale.

One of the best scenes in "Mummy 3" depicts an avalanche. Michelle Yeohs sorceress summons legendary snow monsters to protect our heroes during the avalanche. 2008-08-16 Inventive 3-D lifts Moon above silliness-The Boston Globe
Fly Me to the Moon" is a computer-animated kiddie flick about three housefly best friends who buzz their way onto the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. That sounds as genuinely painful as an August dog-days release can be, and it would be, except for two things. One, if youre 6 years old, you probably never realized how insanely cool the 1969 moon landing was in all its rocket-geek details. Two, what the filmmakers do with 3-D here is within shouting distance of art.
2008-08-15 Movies Even Obi Wan cant save "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" from the dark side of cuteness Seattle Times Newspaper
Even acknowledging that "Star Wars" has never been serious science fiction rather than increasingly juvenile and self-important fantasy, this one is strictly for kids and the sort of adults that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog would eat for lunch. Also, if you thought Jar Jar Binks was annoying,
The storys roots are in a tantalizing reference back in the first "Star Wars" movie in 1977: Obi Wan Kenobi served under Luke Skywalkers father in the Clone Wars. But unless you have chapter and verse of the previous six movies memorized, good luck jumping in and understanding whats going on. Instead of the familiar opening scroll, theres a Gary Owens-type narrator who rattles off head-scratching exposition.

Q: As a youngster growing up in Iowa in late 1940s and 1950s, a favorite family outing was going to Ma and Pa Kettle movies. I most remember Cheaper by the Dozen. I would love to share watching a Ma and Pa Kettle movie with my daughter, Emily (now 30). Are any of these movies available How would I find them
