On Sunday, Dec. 7, the Easton Lions will be holding their annual Reindog parade. This is a fun event that you and your dog will enjoy. Dress up your Fido in his Christmas finest and come down and compete for the prizes. The Reindog parade follows the annual Lions Holiday parade that goes from Washington Plaza and ends in North Easton center just pass the Rockery. The Reindog parade will start at the North Easton Savings Bank on Main Street in Easton. Register between noon and 1 p. m.

The citizens of Flint need to push for irresponsible pet owners to be banned from owning any more pets, as well as increased enforcement and harsher punishments for dogfighting. Breed-specific legislation gets us nowhere. Cases should be dealt with one dog and one owner at a time.

Any dog can become a problem for the public if the dog is allowed to run loose and is not supervised. To say pit bulls are dangerous does not address the real problem -- irresponsible owners.
